Niagara Accessible Sport

Niagara Accessible Sport Committee

We are excited to announce the launch of the Niagara Accessible Sport Committee in 2011. With a dedicated committee, accessible sports will gain:

  • Increased visibility
  • A stronger, unified voice for advocacy
  • Collaborative programming opportunities
Our mission to promote and enhance the opportunities for accessible sport. It's been proven that participating in sport has many benefits. Some examples are: improved quality of life, improved physical fitness, lowers health risks, creates partnerships and friendships, creates positive leaders, and provides mentoring and leadership development.

Niagara Accessible Sport Committee is a resource place for persons with disabilities that would like to get involved in accessible sports. We realize that people with disabilities require adaptive programs to engage in sport. With this organization, we have a voice. People can come and find information on accessible sports offered in the Niagara Region.
