Brock University

Brock University’s Department of Sport Management uses research and teaching to support the economic and community development goals of the Niagara Sport Commission. As well, the university assists in gathering information from stakeholders in the community to assist the decision making process by leaders of the Niagara Sport Commission. Brock’s Conference Services department supports this initiative by offering expertise in coordination and communication of large events.

Centre for Sport Capacity is a dynamic research team whose mission is to foster innovation and knowledge - transfer in order to enhance capacity in Canada’s sport organizations. The vision of the CSC is to be the leader in building the capacity of Canada’s sport organizations.

Heart Niagara’s foundation is built on strategic cooperation among non-profits, corporate, industry, academia and government. Heart Niagara is governed by a board of directors who engage community advisors to participate in community needs assessment, program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
